“ My go to lunch spot and the Shins are super friendly. Everything tastes great and 100% authentic ”
“ I came by for lunch during work because I kept hearing about it! I was immediately greeted by the owners, a sweet middle-aged Korean couple. He immediately started explaining the menu to me. I got the bulgogi gimbap and the red bean bun. They make them fresh and on the spot! After a few minute wait, I got 10 HUGE pieces of gimbap which were so delicious and actually decently filling. The red bean bun was lightly sweet and fluffy. I think they're popular for their cheese buns so I definitely need to come back. Definitely a great spot to grab some Korean bites! ”
“ I've seen many 10 won coin cake when I was in Seoul, but never actually tried one. I was excited to try out this viral snack at Shingane. *Cheese Goddess Bun Their Goddess Bun is a coin-shaped wheel cake with the Statue of Liberty on both sides. You can pick between Cheese (bestseller), Red Bean, and Chocolate fillings. All coin cakes are made to order. It is cute watching them pour the batter into the mold, flip the pan, and gently hold the warm bun with a stick. The half melted mozzarella cheese was an indulgence -- I had so much fun playing with the cheese pull. Even though $7 plus tax for a street snack is on the pricier side, I will still grab it again when the instant craving hits. Plus their coin cakes taste much better than that from the new spot in ktown. More cheese, softer interior and crispier crust. The storefront of Shingane is clean and bright, with a welcoming vibe. Remember to enjoy your goddess bun when it is still warm! ”
“ Stopped in for lunch on a weekday with a friend. They have two small tables inside, and we were able to grab one. I tried the boolgogi gimbap, which was great, as well as two Goddess buns: cheese, which was my favorite, and the red bean. Would definitely recommend the cheese bun for a perfect sweet/savory snack! The best part is that the sweetest older couple is running the place!! I love them!! ”
“ I'm giving them a 5 stars because I've been there multiple times on different times and days of the week and always gotten the Cheese Goddess which is packed with cheese and so comforting to eat especially on cold days when I need something to warm my belly. I've met the owners who are a husband and wife, they are super sweet in navigating as well as managing their business with a smile on their faces. The place is like an order, wait, and to-go type of spot but they do have one table inside and one or two tables outside if you prefer to sit and eat. Overall a great spot to get a snack, take fun pics, and support their business ”
“ Came w a few friends to this cozy spot, which is run by the most heartwarming Korean couple!! Open for less than a year, they have Korean comfort street foods here like mandu, kimbap, teas, etc. But, they're known for their goddess buns - their twist on hotteok! We tried all the flavors (cheese, red bean, and choco nut), my fav was the choco nut. It's not too sweet and has great texture from the crushed nuts. If you're craving something savory, would go for the cheese one, which had the most satisfying cheese pull! Will definitely be back for the yummy food, warm ambiance, and sweetest owners / hospitality :) ”
